The sandals of Reef branded with Mike Fanning's name and signature on them are the only sandals with a built in bottle opener.

Have you ever had a desperate need for a bottle opener? These sandals have a bottle opener tool built in the sole. The usefulness of this tools isn't fully convinced. Yeah, it's a great idea though. Some people admit it but other people likely don't want to see unidentified substances from the on the top of their bottle.

Anyway you might think again thongs are not the most comfortable sandals for everyday use. Yes, that might be true but not if we talk about Reef sandals. The upper portion made of a waterfriendly synthetic nubuck is very soft, comfortable and durable. It doesn't strech even after a heavy use, it remains securely attached to the feet. It has a contured compression molded EVA footbad with anatomical arch support. Reef added an airbag to the heel portion of the sole which makes it more comfortable compared to other thongs.

Fannig signature sandals became very popular these days. They have many different types, Reef is the master in knowing how could someone to sell the same product many times to make on it tiny modifications. Yeah, this is about marketing and knowing well their customers needs.

Fanning reef sandals also available in many color combinations. The avalable color schemes are: black reefix, 80's bottle, black and lime, grey, black torquoise raygun, grey/glow, tan/brown/red and brown plaid.

Sandal for women by Reef - Beach Comber

Generally speaking surfing is an extreme sport. Surfing is a sport of men. Mostly. But Reef isn't a fool to miss such a huge market like women's sandals. So the development team have created a decent amount of different reef sandals - especially for women.

Look at this brilliant women's reef sandal called Beach Comber. It's a brand new model now, first intruduced on Reef's official website, you cannot find it yet in the stores.

This reef sandal is part of the redemption series and was made of environmental friendly materials. The strap was made of organic cotton canvas. It has a chrome-free leather suede deck. The bottom part is recycled EVA midsole with anathomycal arch support and a recycled rubber sponge outsole. All components was manufactured with water-based cement.

The Beach Comber sandal by Reef is beautiful and comfortable - like almost every Reef sandal.

On this picture you can see it in color brown but you can choose in reef stores also in TAN and in GREY color.

Reef Sandals : Cameroun

One of the most comfortable and most conservative Reef sandal for everyone

I'd like to introduce a very conservative sandal of Reef called Cameroun.

This reef sandal has a comfortable upper made of soft synthetic nubuck. The upper part of the sandals is water friendly meaning it's not fully waterproof but it deals easily with a few amount of water. About the width of the upper we can say it's quite thick, so itsn't a flip-flop styled sandal, rather an ordinary one designed by Reef of course.

The Cameroun Reef sandal has a very comfortable, streamlined velcro closures in its upper part which provides an adjustable fit for your feet. The footbed was made of two pieces with a process of dual density contoured compression so called molded EVA footbed with anatomical arch support.

The rubber outsole is grippy molded and it's quite durable, you can sure it'll never break away.

As you can see on the picture, this is not a thong sandal, rather an ordinary one. Thong sandals are not for everyone. Some people don't like the strap between thoes. With this reef sandal you won't be bothered by any incomfortableness. This sandal was made for everyone.

About Reef. No, not only sandals.

At first let's see what is this name: Reef.

Reef in nature is a rock, sandbar or other feature (btw. a corall-reef) beneath the water, under its surface.

Unfortunatelly I don't write here about nature and its miracles. What I'm going to write about is an authentic surf-inspired fashion brand called Reef.

Reef is a well-known and very-very popular fashion brand - especially in Australia and in the Americas but in Europe too. The company originated in 1984, designed and branded autentic, surf inspired products. The brand has been defined further by the elite class of surf riders who always search the best waves in the most beautiful places on the planet. Riders, like Bobby Martinez, Sofia Mulanovich. Rob Machado and Mick Fanning are all great surfers, living such a life, that only a small portion of the mankind ever gets to experience.

It has began twenty year earlier with two brothers in Argentina, named Fernando and Santiago Aguerre. They were passionated surfers and they acted on an idea to make a high quality, active lifestyle sandal. Santiago moved to California in the early 80's and shortly reunited with his brother, who graduated in a Law School and went to LA to help co-found Reef.

With four thousand dollars working capital, hard work, dedication and savvy marketing ideas, the Aguerre brothers built Reef into the number one sandal brand. The company now is thriving as one of the leading surf brands in the world offering footwear and apparel for men, women and kids.

Fernando and Santiago wanted to differentiate themselves from the other surf companies. Inspired by the beautiful women of the beaches of South America, the brothers introduced Miss Reef. Girls representing the actual Miss Reef has no face or identity (the photos are mainly shows their bottoms with a sexy swim-tanga and real name not known), the brothers using this name to help convey their idea of the surf lifestyle. Altough the first advertisements involved Miss Reef were rejected for the controversial content, some magazines convinced, and the ads finally ran. Since then Miss Reef has become a global icon of the surfing communtiy. There are many Miss Reef contests on all the world's biggest surf beaches with beautiful girls.
